Last Saturday, members of our club went for a desert hike, at Borrego Palm Canyon. We were a small group of only seven people but as it turned out, had more pleasant temperatures in the desert than in San Diego!
When we started hiking it was “only” 84℉ but once we entered the shady areas of the canyon around 3 PM it was absolutely pleasant. The city of San Diego meanwhile broke the heat record for February when it reached 91℉ on that same afternoon, thanks to Santa Ana weather.
