Main Presentation – 7 PM
Lori Carey is a back country explorer, photographer and writer/journalist with many years of experience. She travels to really remote places well off the beaten path, on historic trails and routes in the greater Mojave Desert and Death Valley that date back to the 49er days of California. In the solitude of these unique and rarely visited places, she found her own artistic vision as a fine art photographer.
She is passionate about protecting and conserving these fragile desert environments and the historical heritage found within them, and her photos are used today by NPS volunteers and their non-profit sponsors in ongoing restoration efforts.
In her presentation, she will not only share photos and experiences from her adventures, but also talk about the perils of traveling in such remote places.

After the main presentation, we will have a brief intermission where you can pay your Photo Club Membership in person and purchase tickets for our sponsors raffle.
