You are invited to the May 2018 Meeting of the San Diego Photo Club on Thursday, May 17th, 2018. Our main presenter this month is Monica Royal. She was originally scheduled to be our presenter in January 2018 but had to cancel due to illness. We’re thrilled that we were able to re-schedule her for our May meeting!
Monica Royal has held a long time fascination with the macro world. She sees things others don’t and she loves to share her vision. Her imagery is widely recognized as unique and innovative. She won Illustrative Photographer of the Year with Professional Photographers of San Diego County in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Her artwork has been published in several magazines. Monica’s articles and podcasts have been shared on numerous webpages.
Monica works closely with Tamron USA. She is also a Savage Universal Professional and she is sponsored by her lab, Miller’s Professional Imaging.
Monica Royal Fine Art Photography is a full service provider of exceptional fine art photography. She has assisted designers, art directors and project managers in selecting artwork that is perfect for their specific project. She has permanent art installations in Canada, the U.S. and Guam. While her portfolio consists of many different types of imagery, it is Monica’s macro photography that has earned her numerous awards, publications and has become widely recognized.
Monica speaks and teaches all over the United States. She recently delivered the keynote address at the Gulf States Camera Council annual event in Texas. She has taught classes and spoken in Mexico and the U.S.. Her enthusiasm for photography and thinking outside the box is infectious. You can’t help but have fun in her classes.

After the main presentation, we will have a brief intermission where you can pay your Photo Club Membership in person and purchase tickets for our sponsors raffle.
MemberShare will occur after the intermission.

Deadline for MemberShare submissions: Wednesday, May 16th, 6pm. Please don’t wait until the very last minute to submit the photos you want to share! We need time to prepare the image presentation.

Don’t forget, with your 2018 Membership you will receive one raffle ticket each month for free! You can purchase additional tickets for $1.00.
Members are welcome to display their work in our meeting room. If you have a framed print and an easel, bring it in and set it up at 6:30 PM for everyone to see!
