2020 is coming to an end, and Photo Section membership for 2021 is now available. As usual, membership runs for the duration of the calendar year, ie. from January through December 2021.
Needless to say – 2020 didn’t go at all how we had intended! We had to switch our meetings from being public and in person to online and for members only, had to cancel all of our in-person activities, and our summer night photography trip to Bodie Historic State Park as well. Bummer!
This left all of us a bit unsatisfied of course – and we want to give all of this another shot in 2021, as soon as the situation permits it!
On the plus side, holding our meetings online allowed us to invite wonderful presenters that would normally be far outside of our (physical) reach. We will continue holding our meetings online for the first few months of 2021 for sure, following Sierra Club guidelines – and have already secured two excellent presenters for January and February: storm chaser Mike Olbinski, and travel/adventure photographer Alan Majchrowicz.
We’d be happy if you’d join us for 2021. Here’s the link. Membership is still only $25 per person.
Membership in the Photo Section includes:
- access to our online meetings
- participation in our monthly Photo Quest
- participation in our internal photo contest
- discounts and coupons from local photo businesses
(prints, software, rentals, sensor cleaning, etc.) - early access to our own workshops
- participation in a friendly, non-competitive photo club
