San Diego’s beaches are great for a visit year round — unless there’s a heatwave, when everyone goes there! 🥵 For your September 2022 photo quest (and somewhat coinciding with our September activity) were looking for photos that match the theme “At The Beach.”
The National Geographic Encylopedia “beach” definition states: “A beach is a narrow, gently sloping strip of land that lies along the edge of an ocean, lake, or river. Materials such as sand, pebbles, rocks, and seashell fragments cover beaches.”
Of course you’re not limited to entire beach scenes — close-ups of some coastal detail (patterns in the sand, beautiful pebbles, etc.), abstracts, experiments with camera movement, long exposures… as long as the photo conveys that it is made at the beach, go for it. Use your creativity. Please put thought into light and composition.
