We invite all members of the Sierra Club San Diego’s Photo Section to our October 2022 online meeting. We are very happy to welcome San Diego photographer Blake Shaw back, this time with his presentation “Birding In The Middle Of Nowhere.” Meeting date and time are at the end of this invitation. Please continue reading if you’re interested.
The theme for our January 2022 was “Coastal Birds”, in sync with our visit to La Jolla Cove — or any other birds that our members observed at the coast. In this gallery, you can see the results!
Join us for our first photo activity in 2022! We meet at La Jolla Cove to photograph the nesting Brandt’s cormorants, Brown pelicans in their breeding plumage, and other wildlife that will be nearby, like the Sea lions lounging on the rocks, the Pacific harbor seals at the Children’s Pool (a 15 minute walk from the Cave Store), etc.
Join us for our January 2019 activity with board member and outgoing president Steve Cirone, photographing the birds of La Jolla – primarily the cormorants and pelicans.
Join us on Saturday, December 14th, for our monthly photo activity: Birds of Santee Lakes with our president and acclaimed bird photographer Steven Cirone. Our activities are not limited to club members, they’re free and open to anyone who wants to join us. If you’re interested to meet a friendly flock of bird-flavored photography geeks, come out and play with us! 🙂
